Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has religiously participated in the contest every year since then. The country has received a mixed reception in the contest in recent years and has not been able to enter TOP 5 since 1995. Spain has only made it to the TOP 10 twice in the last decade both times placing 1oth (2012 with Pastora Soler and 2014 with Ruth Lorenzo).
