The 2004 Ukrainian Eurovision winner Ruslana has visited the 2017 Eurovision venue today and had a chance to check out the extraordinary stage. She checked out the ongoing preparations for the fortchcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
Ruslana was very impressed with 2017 Eurovision stage at the IEC:
Apparently I was the first artist to appear on the stage of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. I am currently at the International Exhibition Center, standing on the main stage of Eurovision 2017, which in less than a month will be held in Kiev.
To everyone who follows the preparations for Eurovision 2017 I can say that everything is being done on a remarkably professional level. At the entrance I was met by the Head of Security. I was taken through all the mandatory detectors and “frames”, which are used to control the security.
I am standing in the company of the Executive Producer of this year’s contest Pavlo Grytsak, the Head of the Security Service Ali Guseynovitch, the Head of the Production of the contest Ola Melzig and the Head of the TV Production Roman Kerik.
In front of me there are 1900 lighting devices, which are being assembled at the moment. This is a unique construction, which I have never seen before. The size of the screen is 70 x 11 meters. The technical level of this year’s Eurovision in Ukraine is definitely the level of 2017.
It is a new word in the production of shows of this level. The hall looks very comfortable and cozy – relative to the stage and the viewers the space is organized ideally. The installation of the stands and seats continues.
Relative to the stands the stage works in three directions (overall there will be two stages – Stage A for the artists and Stage B where the hosts will work). As the winner of Eurovision 2004 and a singer who saw numerous high level productions, I want to appeal to all the participants of this year’s contest: “Ukraine, jointly with the European companies, created ideal conditions for your performance. Having seen the whole preparation process from within I don’t have even the slightest doubt and can say with absolute confidence “Welcome to Ukraine Again!”
Eurovision 2017 is looking forward to welcoming everyone from all of the world to Kyiv next May.
