First she won the Irish national final with Black Daisy, and now Sinead Mulvey has bagged a record contract with Sony just a couple of weeks before she takes Irish hopes to the Eurovision stage in Moscow.
Sony BMG Music completed negotiations with the artist last week, and the Eurovision single Et Cetera will be released this coming Friday. An excited Sinead explains "We're really excited about having Sony on board. They have been fantastic. The single is out on May 1 and I can't wait". Despite partnering up with the music giant, she stresses that her focus is on the Eurovision Song Contest right now, and her determination to do well for Ireland.
Balancing act
Sinead has been working hard with vocal coach Maureen Ward over the last few weeks to ensure a top performance in the second semi-final in Moscow. Impressively, she has continued to honour her commitments as a full-time air hostess with Aer Lingus throughout the preparations for the contest, balancing rehearsals with work duties. Soon, however, it will be her turn to sit in the passenger seat as she flies off to Moscow to begin stage rehearsals.
