Eurovision 2016: Euroclub and Euro Fan Café under the same roof

The 2016 Eurovision Euroclub and the Euro Fan Café will be located under the same roof in Stockholm.

Visit Stockholm has revealed that Stockholm will house both the Euroclub and the Euro Fan Café in the same venue. Stockholm is all set to dress up for the Eurovision Song Contest when delegations, fans, accredited journalists and media will land in the Swedish capital.

A two-week music festival in Kungsträdgården, and a completely new concept for the Euroclub are two of the news snippets  for Eurovision Song Contest presented by Ms Karin Wanngård, Mayor of Stockholm as Vienna handed over the keys to Stockholm during Host Insignia Handover Ceremony held yesterday at Stockholm’s City Hall.

Eurovision Village in Kungsträdgården park in the city center becomes the main festival site for the general public. During two weeks, from May 2 to 14, filled with events from two stages, restaurants and experiences for both adults as well as children.

Karin Wanngård , Mayor of Stockholm has commented:

Stockholm is music. The Eurovision Song Contest belongs to Stockholm. Today we’re inviting all Eurovision fans to join us in a celebration in our beautiful city for a fortnight in May. This year we are introducing a new concept for the Euroclub. The Euroclub and Euro Fan Café will be integrated and open for everyone. Here, fans, delegations, visitors and Stockholmers will be able to eat lunch while they watch the rehearsals in Stockholm Globe Arena from large tv-screen.

Euroclub and the Euro Fan Café will both be located in the two-storey high and 2,800 square meters large custom-built venue right in front of the Royal Palace in Stockholm, the best location Stockholm can offer. Daytime open to all, and during the evenings transformed into a night club for accredited fans and delegations.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 May at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
