Laka, the Bosnian participant of the last Eurovision Contest will give a live concert in Belgrade, on the 8th December in the Sava Centar hall. The venue has a capacity of 3.500 spectators and the organisers expect that Lakas concert will sell out. After his extravagant and memorable performance on the Belgrade Eurovision Song Contest stage in May 2008, the popularity of the artist in Serbia has risen significantly.
Pokusaj, the song that Elvir Laković, aka Laka, performed in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest reaching a respectable 10th position, is currently the most sold ringing tune in every telephone company of Serbia, it has even surpassed in selling figures some long-time world stars such as Madonna. As Maja Psuljevi, producer of the Laka’s concert in Belgrade agency Talent Box says: “ With his funny, wise and interesting lyrics, which have a very serious message, Laka is exactly what was lacking in the music scene in the former Yugoslavia. Teenagers think that his music is a phenomenal way of entertainment, much better than "Grand show" and similar programs”. She even describes him as the new Darko Rundek, the very famous and talented all round Croatian artist.
Tickets for Laka’s concert cost 1.000 Dinars( 12 Euros) and will go on sale next week. A large number of prominent Serbian people are expected to attend the show. Among them many popular singers and even the former Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic.
Laka is also expected to release and promote a new single with the title Brko (Moustache) before New Year’s Eve and a new album is also on its way. On New Year’s Eve Laka is going to appear live in two different cities: first Mostar from 20 to 21.30 p.m. and right after Midnight in Sarajevo.
