The young and talented Norwegian artist, who competed in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest for Norway with Alvedansen, stars in the Norwegian musical version of the Les Miserables at Den Nationalen Scene in Bergen. Five weeks after an impressive opening and some great reviews on the Norwegian press, Christine and the Ensemble of the National Scene are enjoying great success. Their show has been sold out and it will go on at least until New Years Eve.

Les Miserables, which opened on the 5th September at Den Nationalen Scene in Bergen, was Christine’s debut on the musical stage and the response of the critics and the audience alike has been very positive. Christine stars in the show in the role of Cosette.

Despite the intense rehearsals preceding the premiere, the artist has been very active and involved in other music projects too. Apart from some live guest appearances in concerts, Christine also found herself in Paris last summer to record new material in collaboration with the world known African artist Youssou N`Dour. The release of her new album has been set for the the beginnings of 2009 and Christine is currently still doing studio sessions for it.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
