Rita Guerra will sing Meuamor inventado em mim in Riga representing Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. At least, that's what the official Eurovision Song Contest website eurovision.tv reported.
The title Meuamor inventado em mim means My love invented in me. Last night this appeared on eurovision.tv and some esctoday.com visitors noticed this is the same song as Rita Guerra performed in the Portuguese national final of 1992.
Initially the Portuguese broadcaster RTP wanted to have the winner of Operação Triunfo representing Portugal in Riga, but it appeared that there was not enough time anymore. The winner of the talent scout programme will now represent Portugal in 2004 at the Eurovision Song Contest.
