Conchita Wurst, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, will headline Prague pride.

The singer, who conquered Europe last year with her song Rise like a phoenix, will be the top act performing on the opening day of the pride festival.

She will kick off the festival on 10 August, along with two additional artists, at the pride village at Strelecky ostrov in the Czech Republic’s capital.

This will be the fifth annual pride festival in Prague, and this year it will run from 10 August until 16 August.

Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest when she represented Austria in 2014. This brought the country their second ever win and meant the Austrian capital, Vienna, had the honour of hosting the contest this year.
