YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster has revealed the 12 acts that will compete to the UMK 2014 in order to represent Finland at the the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The hosts Anne Lainto and Ile Uusivuori presented the 12 hopefuls in a short press conference, on Tuesday 10 December.

The 12 acts have been selected by a professional jury composed by Aija Puurtinen, Toni Wirtanen, Redrama and Tomi Saarinen. YLE has prepared a total of 6 shows: 2 introduction shows are scheduled to be held on 28 December and 4 January, 2 heats on 11 and 18 January, a second chance round on 25 January will lead us to the grand final of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2014 on 1 February.
