The song

The song is composed and written by musician/producer Rory de Kievit, known for his work with artists such as Mr. Probz, and composer Rick Vol, who is the girls’ father and writer of various previous hits by OG3NE. The entry, the name of which was unveiled yesterday, is entitled Lights and shadows.

From O’G3NE to OG3NE

Recently, the girl group artistically adapted their band name to OG3NE, losing the apostrophe. This small change has no influence on the pronunciation of the band name, which remains “o-gene” (the “o” stands for their mother’s bloodtype O and the musical genes that connect the three sisters, while the symbolic 3 is also an E in reverse).
