The Lithuanian broadcaster LRT will hold tonight the show that is the final step of the country’s national selection for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. While the song has been selected already, the artist that will perform it in Vienna is yet to be appointed. The Artists Final of Eurovizija 2015 tonight will see the making of that decision.
About the show
Since the beginning of the year, the candidates to represent Lithuania in Austria this year have performed on stage week after week, leaving one contender after another in the way, as the acts were eliminated at each show of the national selection, Eurovizija 2015.
Only three performers remain in the run for the take-off to Vienna in May and who have spent the past weeks proving their skills on stage.
The artists competing tonight for the ticket to Vienna are those that qualified in show # 6 of Eurovizija 2015 on 7 February:
- Monika Linkytė
- Vaidas Baumila
The three of them performed all the three songs that were available to choose from during the Eurovizija Song Final on 14 February, during which the track This time was chosen to represent Lithuania. Mia, Monika and Vaidas have already had to sing it, but this time they will have to perform it from a different perspective, since tonight they must convince the Lithuanians that they are capable of bringing the country’s song to the top of the Eurovision scoreboard.
The combination of the audience vote and the vote of the 4-judges jury (50% each) will determine which of the three finalists will fly to Austria for singing This time.
The hosts of the show will be Simona Nainė and Arūnas Valinskas.
