Sebastiano Paù-Lessi (born 1985), better known as his stage name Sebalter, is a singer/songwriter originally from the Italian region of Ticino in Switzerland. Sebalter started his performing music career with the hard rock band The Stalkers, departing the band in 2002. Around that time, he began playing fiddle for the folk band The Vad Vuc, where he continued to build his musical abilities before departing in 2012 to pursue a solo career.

Sebalter submitted his entry Hunter of the stars to the Swiss national selection, Die Große Entscheidungsshow. His song was selected along with five others to perform at the final, where won the right to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. He will perform his self-penned entry in the second semi-final on the 8 May.
