Last night Czech Republic held their first national final. Nine acts run for the honor to become the country's first representative to the next Eurovision Song Contest. And the winner is Kabat (the Coat) with Mala dama.

Kabat is a popular Czech rock band that was formed in 1983 by Milan Špalek, bass guitar, and Tomáš Krulich, guitar. They were later joined by Radek Hurčík, percussions, Josef Vojtek, frontman of the band and singer and finally Ota Váňa, guitar. The band has had the same line-up since 1990. They play hard rock and arena rock.
They released their first album Má ji motorovou in 1991, it was followed by ten more highly successful albums, the last being Corrida in 2006. Their 2002 album Suma sumarum became the best selling Czech album selling 128.000 copies.
