The Common Linnets have selected the song with which they will represent The Netherlands at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark in May. Ilse DeLange, one of the band’s singers, revealed this after one of her concerts earlier this week.

In November it was announced that The Common Linnets would be representing their country at Eurovision. At that time, they explained that they themselves would choose their Eurovision entry.

Earlier this week Ilse DeLange confirmed that they have made the decision. The singer did not tell much about the song itself. She did not yet want to announce the title or the style of the track. It is expected that the song will be premiered in a few weeks from now.

The Common Linnets is a band that consists of Waylon and Ilse DeLange, both well known solo artists in the Netherlands. They decided to team up and record an album together in country style. In June, they will perform a big concert in a soccer stadium in the Netherlands. They will represent the Netherlands in the first semi-final on 6 May.
