Eurovision 2014: Moldova confirms participation in Copenhagen

TRM the Moldovan national broadcaster has confirmed to esctoday.com that Moldova will compete at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen next year.

TRM is yet to determine the method and mechanism it will use to select its 2014 Eurovision entry and representative. More details will be disclosed in due course. Hence Moldova is the 34th country to confirm its participation at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest so far.

Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and is yet to win the contest. The country’s best placing was a 6th place in 2005 when they debuted at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev with Zdob Si Zdub‘s Bunika Bate Toba!

Aliona Moon represented Moldova at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry O mie, achieving a 11th placing in the final. Moldova has not missed a single contest since their debut in 2005, having competed a total of 9 times in the event.
