Another Danish city has shown interest in bidding to host the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest next year, and its none other than Aalborg. Will Aalborg join Copenhagen and Herning in the 2014 Eurovision host city race?

Aalborg’s Culture and Congress Center has contacted DR, the Danish national broadcaster inquiring about the requirements for hosting the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Aalborg’s Gigantium  stadium which played  host to the 2012 Danish Eurovision national final, is most likely to be the venue if Aalborg is selected to host the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

We are principally  interested in hosting  the event. But before we go any further we need to know what the terms are, says Ernst Trillingsgaard, director of Aalborg Congress and Culture.

Preparations in Denmark for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest are in full swing. Emmelie De Forest brought the 3rd Eurovision victory on Danish soil last Saturday when she took Europe by storm with Only teardrops.
