Nuno Resende, the 2005 Belgian Eurovision Sonc Contest representative, is taking part in the second season of the TV talent show The Voice in France this year. After qualifying from the blind auditions a few weeks ago (see here), the singer of Portuguese descent had to go through the battle sessions. Opposed to another talented competitor, Nuno successfully qualified and will carry on with the live shows.

For his battle, Nuno Resende was opposed to Quentin Danglas. Both artists were selected by their coach Florent Pagny who decided to judge them on their vocal abilities during a live rendition of the absolute classic The show must go on by the legendary British rock band Queen.

The outcome of the battle turned in favor of the Belgian singer (see below). Florent Pagny believed Nuno proved stronger and more consistent than his competitor on this very vocally demanding song originally performed by the late Freddie Mercury. Nuno Resende will then proceed to the next step of the adventure, the live shows during which he will fight for a spot among the best contestants who will later on go on tour all over France, and why not win the whole thing in the end?
