Greta Salóme is ready to make a comeback to the Icelandic national final after been invited to participate as special guest in the Söngvakeppni sjónvarpsins grand final. She will be the opening act for the Icelandic national final.

The talented violinist and composer who represented Iceland last year in Baku with Jónsi will open tomorrow’s final show, live from the Harpa hall in Reykjavík. Greta is set to perform two songs from her latest album, The Silence, released before Christmas; she is also expected to be joined on stage by a live orchestra, a choir and dancers.

I think the most important thing is to be faithful to their own convictions in the adventure that lies ahead; Greta says when she was asked for an advice to the eventual winner of the Icelandic final.

Seven songs will compete in the grand final and the top two songs by the combination of the televoting and jury (50/50) will proceed to the super-final where the Icelandic representative will be selected solely by the public.

The Icelandic Bradcaster RÚV released last week the official album featuring the 12 bidding entries in the competition and is available on iTunes now.

Iceland will choose their entrant in Malmö tomorrow night at the Söngvakeppni sjónvarpsins 2013 from 21:00 CET (20:00 local time). The show will be shown live on RÚV, Channel 2 and streamed live on the Icelandic broadcaster website.
