Record number of Norwegian MGP songs on radio

The 2013 lineup at the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix seems to be the radio friendliest ever, as more songs than ever have been playlisted by the local radio stations.

Project Manager for MGP, Stian Malme says it has not happened before, that so many songs have been picked up by radio stations even before the final of Melodi Grand Prix. This shows that we have a stronger field than in a long time, he tells nrk.no.

B-listed on P3:

Datarock – The underground
Carina Dahl – Sleepwalking
Margaret Berger – Feed you my love
Martin Blomvik – Det vakje mi tid

C-listed on P1:

Tom Hugo – Det er du
Vidar Busk – Paid my way

Fresh-listed on MP3:

Carina Dahl – Sleepwalking
Martin Blomvik – Det vakje mi tid

Also the music director for the youth-oriented P3 Mats Borch Bugge agrees the quality is high this year. We decide our playlists independently of the MGP organisation, and this year many of the songs are suitable for our output.

Tom Hugo is delighted to be playlisted on the most listened P1 channel, even if he did not make it to the final last Saturday. He says he got a lot of good comments from abroad for his song, so he has now recorded a new version in English called It is you.

The second heat of Melodi Grand Prix will air on Saturday. The songs taking part were introduced yesterday.
