SRF, the Swiss national broadcaster has informed Esctoday.com that the names of the 9 finalists that will compete in the 2013 Swiss Eurovision national final will be announced on Monday, 12 November. Out of the lucky 9 finalists we already know the names of 2 of them Chiara Dubey and Ally who were selected through the Swiss Italian selection by RSI.

Sven Epiney will be hosting the 2013 Swiss Eurovision national final ESC – Die grosse Entscheidungsshow. The 2013 Swiss Eurovision representative will be selected via a 100% televoting deliberation.

The Swiss national final is scheduled to be held on 15 December at the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. A total of 9 acts will compete in the show (4 via SRF, 2 via RSI, and 3 via RTS).

SRF received between 170- 180 songs for their online selection. Artists who were interested to represent Switzerland at 2013 Eurovision Song Contest were asked to release their songs on  SRF’S official website www.eurovision.sf.tv. This period submission ran from the 1st of  September until the 8th of  October 2012.  The selection process ran in multiple levels. From  the 15th of  October 2012 users of the website had the opportunity to vote for their favourite song, meanwhile a group of judges (all industry experts)  had the chance to voice their opinion and deliberation. Their rating  counted 50 percent. Four of the candidates were selected via this mechanism. 2 other candidates were determined via a regional final organized by RSI ( Swiss Italian national broadcaster) via a regional final on the 23rd of October aired on the radio.  Whilst the the other  3 were chosen internally  by RTS ( Swiss French broadcaster).
