Spanish radiostation ABC Punto Radio interviewed Spanish Eurovision representative Pastora Soler on her forthcoming participation in the final next Saturday. During her conversation with the interviewer, Pastora acknowledged that it may not be the right time for Spain to win the Eurovision Song Contest due to the tough economic crisis hitting the country. According to the singer, it would be “impossible” to organise such an expensive contest in the Iberian country and a top-5 or top-10 finish would already be a success.

Following the interview, Pastora Soler participated in an online chat on the RTVE.es website, where she was asked about her previous declarations. The 2012 Spanish representative clarified that she will go for the victory next Saturday and that she has not received instructions from RTVE not to win the Eurovision Song Contest. She went on to say that RTVE totally supports her and should she bring the trophy to Spain, the public broadcaster would be “thrilled”.
