Norway: Alexander Rybak to perform live shows

Alexander Rybak, who won Eurovision 2009 for Norway and is again taking part in Melodi Grand Prix Norway this year, is to play a number of live shows this summer.

As well as his performance in Melodi Grand Prix, which takes place in Oslo on 10 March, Alexander Rybak will be playing the following:

  • An afternoon performance at Gruben Church in Rana, Norway on 4 February
  • a free afternoon concert Budapest Hungary on 9 June
  • a concert with the Trondheim Soloists on 15 September in Leknes, northern Norway

As well as these shows, Alexander will be reprising his role in the play Soot Spelet, which is taking place at the outdoor lock arena in Ørje, Norway from 23 June to 2 July.

The play tells the story of canal builder and inventor Engebret Soot; Alexander plays famed Norwegian Violinist Ole Bull in the performance. You can read more about the play on the official visit Norway site.
