Conchita and Eurovision

Back in 2013, Conchita was confirmed as the Austrian representative for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

Internally selected by the Austrian national broadcaster, ORF, the singer competed at the Copenhagen-hosted competition with her entry Rise like a phoenix.

Becoming one of the most talked-about artists of the competition, Conchita successfully advanced from the semi-final stage of the competition, qualifying to the final of the competition as one of the betting odd favourites.

Receiving 290 points at the Eurovision 2014 final, Conchita won the competition by a landslide, becoming one of the most memorable Eurovision winners in recent years.
