Eurovision 2018: RTP opens call for ESC volunteers

RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster has opened the submission period for the 2018 Eurovision volunteers. Persons wishing to work as a volunteer at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon can send in their respective applications to RTP.

Do you want to become a volunteer at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest? Do you have what it takes to become a volunteer? Do you speak English or any other foreign language?

If so you can apply to become a volunteer at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and get the chance to work along the 2018 Eurovision delegations, artists and will experience the backstage and fan zone areas. The submission period is open as of today.

How to apply?

Applicants wishing to volunteer should meet the following requirements:
  • 18 years old+
  • Good level of English
  • Team player, works well on own initiative
  • Good organisation
  • Goo communication skills
  • Smart appearance
  • Available  for the hours required for each role
Volunteers will be given t-shirts/ relevant uniforms, meals, work insurance, a participation certificate and will be given the chance to experience the magnificent Eurovision Song Contest and be part of it!

Volunteers will be given various tasks in order to help out at the official hotels, official ESC venues  (Eurovision Village and Altice Arena), Press Centre, Delegation Area, Fan Zone Area, Backstage Area,  etc. They will be helping and assisting delegations as delegation hosts during the 2 Eurovision week.

The Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ) and the Marginal Project are partners of RTP in the process of recruiting and selecting volunteers for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
