Eurostars nominated for Public Choice Award at the EBBAs 2018

Public voting has now opened for the European Border Breakers Awards’ (the EBBAs) Public Choice vote, where you can now vote for the 3 nominated 2017 Eurostars in order to receive the award.

The EBBAs are an annual group of awards aimed at highlighting new artists who have had success in countries other than their own.

There are 10 EBBAs handed out each year, and the Public Choice Award is given out on the night of the main awards ceremony.

The nominees

This year, three Eurovision 2017 artists have won awards, Kristian Kostov from Bulgaria, Blanche from Belgium and Eurovision winner Salvador Sobral from Portugal. The full nominee list is as follows:

  • Off Bloom (Denmark)
  • Sigrid (Norway)
  • Alice Merton (Germany)

  • The Blaze (France)

You can vote for your favourite acts in the EBBAs on their official website, where you can select and vote for up to 3 artists. Who will be your picks?

Past winners of EBBAs include major international artists Adele and Mumford & Sons, and past Public Choice winners include 2014 Eurovision contestants The Common Linnets.

The awards are hosted by music personality Jools Holland and take place in Groningen, Netherlands on 17 January 2018, in which the winners will be presented with their awards officially.
