YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster has announced more details and information regarding its forthcoming 2018 Finnish Eurovision national selection, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailun (UMK).
Krista Siegfriends (Finland 2013) and Mikko Silvennoinen have been confirmed as the hosts for the upcoming edition of UMK. Finland is gearing up in its quest to select its Eurovision act and entry for Lisbon.
The Finnish broadcaster will be holding a special press conference on 7 November at 12:00 CET in order to reveal more details and information regarding its 2018 Eurovision national selection. The press conference will be streamed live on YLE’s official website, UMK’ss official Facebook page and official YouTube page.
Krista Siegfrieds in Eurovision
Krista Siegfrieds represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Marry me. The Finnish belle has competed twice in the Swedish Eurovision heats Melodifestivalen in her quest to represent Sweden at Eurovision. This will be the third time Krista hosts the Finnish national final, having hosted the event in 2016 and 2017.
The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon.
