The Romanians have chosen their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. Nicola won by a very wide margin.
Romanian Euroviziune 2003 took three hours and it was divided into three parts: songs presentation, retrospectives from earlier contests and the voting. The Romanians chose their entry using both televoting and jury.
Eurovision viewers can remember the host, Loenard Miron, from Eurovision Song Contest 2002 – he was the Romanian spokesman (the one in a purple suit). Kitty Cepraga helped him to host the show.
During the retrospective, we could watch among other things the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 interval act and a documentary about the Romanian representatives and their journey to Tallinn last year. The host also mentioned Beth, Lynn Chircop, the Estonian way of choosing their representative etc.
Don't break my heart was a huge favourite before the final. A modern, techno/dance song atrracted attention among many Eurovision fans. Tonight, All jurors except one gave her 12 points – she got 79 points out of the maximum 86.
When the host announced Nicola's song: Don't break my heart, she shouted: I won't!. Nicola will perform on the 24th of May in Riga, between Estonia's Ruffus and the Swedish representative, who will be chosen on 15th March.
