This evening, FYR Macedonia’s entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will be presented for the first time during a special televised show via the country’s national broadcaster, MRT.

Airing tonight from 20:15 CET, FYR Macedonia’s entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will make its premiere this evening on MRT 1. This year, the country will be represented by Kaliopi for a second time, following her previous participation in 2012, and will compete with her entry Dona.

Back in November, MRT confirmed that Kaliopi had been internally selected to represent FYR Macedonia at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Stockholm.

FYR Macedonia’s entry for the competition, Dona, was produced by both herself as lyricist of the song alongside long term musical partner Romeo Grill, who produced the music and arrangement of the entry, over the months to follow.

Kaliopi and Romeo previously worked together in order to produce FYR Macedonia’s 2012 entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, Crno i belo, which brought the nation one of their best results in recent years, having received a total of 71 points in the grand final and finishing in 13th position.

In the following 3 years, the country has yet to qualify to the grand final of the contest. Can Kaliopi bring FYR Macedonia their first qualification since 2012?
