Albania: Eneda Tarifa wins Festivali i Këngës 54!

Three nights, 22 finalists, 1 winner! Eneda Tarifa has won the 54th edition of Festivali i Këngës this evening, going to represent her country at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Stockholm.

It’s been a busy few nights in Albania with 3 shows taking place over the course of 3 nights. The 25 and 26 December saw the 2 Festivali i Këngës 54 (FiK 54) semi-finals take place with a total of 22 acts going on to compete in tonight’s grand final of the event.

The 22 finalists each performed their entries to the public for a second time this evening, but it was down to the jury to decide which act should win the 54th FiK event and go on to represent Albania at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

Following the 22 performances of the evening, the top 10 entries of the night were revealed as voted for by the jury. In third place was Flaka Krelani with her entry S’je për mua with Aslajdon Zaimaj ending in second place with his song Merrmë që sot, however it was Eneda Tarifa who reigned victorious at the 54th FiK event. With her entry Përrallë (Fairytale), Eneda will represent Albania at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Stockholm, Sweden in May next year.
