The Queen of Austria aka Conchita Wurst will be the guest of honour at the forthcoming 2015 Tel Aviv Gay Pride on 12 June.
Conchita will be travelling to Israel in a few days to grace the 2015 Tel Aviv Gay Pride, she will attend the event on 12 June. She was scheduled to attend the annual event last year, but cancelled her trip in the last minute. This year her Israeli fans will be thrilled to know that the Eurovision winner will be visiting their country.
A record number of 180 000 participants are expected to attend the Pride this year. Last year 130,000 persons attended the event.
The 2015 Tel Aviv Gay Pride under the slogan Tel Aviv loves all genders will focus this year on supporting the rights of transgender people. From June 7-12 numerous activities for gays, lesbians and trans people are planned in Tel Aviv.
Conchita Wurst represented Austria at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Rise like a phoenix, and brought the Eurovision trophy on Austrian soil for the second time in Eurovision history.
