About Michael Schulte
Michael Schulte was born in 1990 in Dollerup, Germany. His career started in 2008 by releasing covers of popular songs on YouTube. This offered him the oppotunity to sign a contract with Weinstein Media. Afterwards, he became known to the wider audience when he took part and came third in the first edition of The Voice of Germany in 2011.
His first personal album Wide awake was released in 2012, having unveiled two more albums since, entitled The arising and Hold the rhythm. In addition, his debut single Carry me home reached remarkably high positions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
About the song You let me walk alone
You let me walk alone won the final of the innovative German national selection procedure Unser Lied für Lissabon (Our song for Lisbon). With a 100-member Eurovision panel, an international jury and the public all having a 1/3 say in the final’s outcome, they all agreed upon the eventual winner, offering him 3 sets of 12 points.
The track was released two days prior to the final, on 20 February and is penned by Michael Schulte, Thomas Stengaard, Nisse Ingwersen and Nina Müller.
