About Laura Tesoro

The young Laura Tesoro will fly the Belgian flag in Stockholm.

The young singer (19 years old) is no newcomer for the Belgian public. She started off in 2010 in the Ketnet show Ketnetpop and featured in a production of the musical Annie as the eponymous character.

The Belgian national selection was not her first competition, as she already had to put her skills to the test in the talent show The Voice van Vlaanderen in 2014.

Her parcour in acting did not stop with Annie, as she has appeared in the Flemish series Familie, broadcast by the Belgian broadcaster VRT’s channel VTM. She has played guest roles in other shows in the Flemish television.

About the song What's The Pressure

What’s the pressure is the title of the entry that Laura Tesoro will present for Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The lyrics were written by the Belgian soul/funk fusion artist Selah Sue and her former drummer Louis Favre. The producer of the track is Peter Gordeno, the keyboard player for Depeche Mode.

What’s the pressure was selected as the Belgian entry for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in the national final organized by the Belgian Flemish broadcaster VRT, Eurosong 2016. The choice of the Belgian entry is done by the two main broadcasters in the country, the French-language RTBF and the Dutch-language VRT.

The song presented by Laura Tesoro in the national final stood up among the five that competed in Eurosong 2016, granting her the Eurovision ticket.

Despite some controversies about alleged similarities to another song, Laura Tesoro continues her road to Stockholm and recently completed the release of the music video for What´s the pressure.
