searching for technical assistance

esctoday.com wants YOU!

Behind the scenes, esctoday.com runs using a high-end piece of custom-made software keeping the website running around the clock, throughout the year. To maintain our existing technical facilities and contribute to the development of esctoday.com, we are looking for new volunteers to take over the existing technical team, after having served esctoday.com with intense dedication for over six years.

esctoday.com is a respected news infomation service and fan centre for the Eurovision Song Contest community, including fans, broadcasters, participants, music and media industry insiders. The website has a successful history of team members winning roles in respected companies and receiving recognition for their work and dedication. At esctoday.com, we work to help team members develop their skills and careers. We can and will provide references for all team members when they are seeking paid employment.

Several former esctoday.com team members had or even still have benefit from their voluntary contribution to the website. Former Chief Editor and Founder Sietse Bakker works as Project Manager (Internet) at the EBU. Former web developer Wouter van Vliet works for the EBU as technical consultant and several former editors now work for respected local media, such as Jarmo Siim, who works for the Estonian newspaper Postimees as online editor. Aija was recruited by this year's Latvian participants as 'Head of press'.

The esctoday.com team work tirelessly throughout the year, donating what time they can, to the maintanence and development of all aspects of the website. We are currently looking to develop and launch a number of exciting new projects and are looking for assistance with our ventures. If you fit the descriptions listed below, please email applications@esctoday.com with a copy of your CV and examples of your work.

Unfortunately I do not have the skills required. I am willing though to help where I can as an editor.
