Kdam-Eurovision participants announced

Israeli broadcaster IBA released today the shortlist of performers who will take part in the 2006 national selection, Kdam-Eurovision.
These artists will take part in the Israeli 2006 national Eurovision final, the Kdam-Eurovision: Guy Harari- A completely unknown performer. Eddie Butler- A former member of the Eden band which represented Israel at the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest in Jerusalem and reached a 5th position with 'Happy Birthday. Shlomo Gronich- He used to be a popular singer in the 1980's, not much of a success in later years. Stalos and Oren Chen- A duo which performs mainly with mediterranean and Greek music. Gabi Shushan, Uzi Fux & Cheri- Gabi Shushan already competed in the 2001 Kdam-Eurovision, Cheri competed in the 1978 contest. Michael (Misha) Kirkilan - He reached the 2nd place in Israel's Star Academy this summer. Kirkilan arrived in Israel 3 years ago from Kyiv. Avi Greinik - He is a comedian who tried his way in music with an album a year ago, which failed. Game Boys - A new boy band. Rama Messinger - She is mostly an actress. Aviva and Maya Avidan - A mother and daughter, Aviva is quite known, unlike the daughter. Maya Buskila (pictured above) -The only big name in this shortlist. Buskila had a relatively big hit a couple of years ago named Halev. Diamonds- A rather new and unknown girl band. The IBA decided to hold once again a Kdam-Eurovision in 2006 after the success of the 2005 contest and its outcome - a 4th position in the Eurovision Song Contest's final in Kiev. The 2006 edition will be held in Jerusalem on 15th March, 2006.
