@ Stockholm,

THAT'S IT! But ever since I watched Shreck2 I can't possibly pull the song and the movie apart :)
OK, let Charlotte sing it. It's a nice song. I just hope she won't be inaugurating a new face this time (my God, she's only my age and she's already looking like a Kabuki mask)

Marcelo

Perhaps that's the one.
Here's Mimmi Sandén (Swedish JESC 2009 contestant) singing "I need a hero" :)

@ Charlotte & Stockholm,
The only song listed as "We Need a Hero" is that used at the end of Shrek2 (if I remember rightly, it was originally Bonnie Tyler's). It would be sort of a nice joke, so to say, thematically speaking. I wouldn't like it to be a remake of "Hero", for it might be a bad omen for Sweden.

And, about the contestants in general, I have a feeling like "I can't hate them" only, if you know what I mean. All songs seem done and produced seriously, everyone very dedicated and hopeful as always. But there is nothing that stands out. Maybe I am missing the point, given the fact that I am not Swedish (or or from a less different culture and society); this was greatly discussed among the more serious members about what could make a song "eurovisible" over the last 3 weeks in the countless articles about the Spanish preselection. We generally could not come to an agreement :P
On the other hand, if we must favour the ones we like, letting aside ESC strategy (which I somehow favour), I would favour only one or two. Let's see...

I think Charlotte Perrelli will appear in the opening act. Together with Nanne Grönwall and Sonja Aldén she will sing We need a hero

This is how the audience voted last night:

LOL...what king of word is "unexpectible"....?! :D Guess I was inspired by -God forbid- OLA.... ;)

My votes (if nothing unexpectible happens...like another song would be better!) tonight goes to Linda Pritchard and Salem Al Fakir. The songs of Jessica Andersson and Pain of Salvation (btw, "Road Salt" sounds a bit like Elton Johns "Rocket man" in the beginning IMO) sounds promising too. :)

1. You´re making me hot-hot-hot
2. Keep on walking

3. I did it for love
4. Road salt

The songs from MF are always the same.. : crap!

I'm really disappointed with this MF so far, I really hope the quality picks up, and considering it's exactly a year since my love for Emilia, it's quite a bad time... hmph. I think I want Pain and Salvation, and Salem to the final, and maybe Jessica and Jenny to the second chance, but unless the performances are good, I couldn't care less what happens tonight...

Ola and Linda Pritchard to the final!

I listened to the snippets again and the 2 I want to go through are Ola and Jessica.
I paid more attention to Pain of Salvation since so many people seem to like them and the song does have potential but I'd like to hear more of it to see how it builds up.

None of these had huge appeal from the snippits, but that may change when I hear the full versions.

Pff, tonights Denmark's and Norway's and Iceland's final, plus Sweden's, I wonder which one I'll watch : S

I love Jenny Silver. Ola is a nice surprise. And I want to hear the whole song of POS before I judge it.
Jessica Anderson is very boring in my opinion, though I am sure she will be a sure qualifier for Globen.
