Jeane Manson and Céline Dion's sister in Africa

One of the most watched (mocked and criticized) reality shows started last week in France, on private channel TF1. La Ferme Célébrités en Afrique is inspired by Swedish TV show Farmen, which was launched back in 2001.

The third French edition is taking place in South Africa, with wild animals... and, as usual, with celebrities, some being not-that-well-known people, hence the many bad reviews on that show, in spite of the big audience figures.

Among the candidates of this third edition, one can find US born and 1979 Luxembourg entrant Jeane Manson, as well as Céline Dion’s sister, Claudette Dion. Claudette Dion is one of Céline’s many elder sisters (the Dion family includes 14 children, Céline being the youngest). Claudette has recorded two CD albums in Canada but was completely unknown since last week in France.

Every contender in La Ferme is competing on behalf of a charity : Jeane Manson for “Everybody sing against cancer” and Claudette Dion for “La Fondation Maman Dion” (educational foundation which provides school supplies and clothing to underprivileged children).

Constructive? I would like to read the reactions if there was no news about Melodifestivalen the days before.

@ w s

True, but sometimes information is bound to slip through the cracks non? Just try being more constructive rather than complaining all the time.

@Liam Clark, Esctoday is the leading newsblog of the eurovision song contest. I think the readers of esctoday expect an active role of their editors. Especially in the national final season (where we are in the middle at the moment).

@ Ghost of Johnny Logan & ws

This article is written by Dominique Dufaut, who is French. It is about a French TV show. Each editor tends to handle stuff from their own country. If here is stuff going on in the Irish or Dutch selections, that is not being reported it is perhaps because nobody has submitted the information. Rather than complaining, submit the information yourself so it can be reported.

And there was a huge soap in the Netherlands this week, with one of the coaches threatening to leaf. Nationaal Songfestival is Sunday, why is there no news about that.

And also Edsilia Rombley is pregnant. Congratulations sweety.

I agree with Ghost of Johnny Logan

This is just pure nonsense news.

Is this some sort of joke? I don't really care! There is plenty of other news to be reporting on than this. There are tonnes of news on the Irish selection that you are ignoring. Wake up ESCtoday!
