Your opinion
- You can vote for your favourite song in our poll here.
In 2009, Finland was represented by Waldo's People, who finished 12th in the first semi final but still qualified for the final thanks to the jury wildcard. In the final, the group came 25th and hence last with their song Lose control.

Sadly, i can watch only small parts of the final due to this awful transmission.Bad work YLE!Not a good final till now.I think number 5 comes out as a favourite but i don't like it a lot.Number 7 is the possible winner IMO
KUUNKUISKAAJAT
TO OSLO!
I won't be following the show, but I've had a sneak peek at the songs:
Maria Lund: Too cold and charmless. This kind of image works with electronica, but not jazz. And the song isn't very catchy. I can't imagine this doing well.
Amadeus: Somehow this reminds me of an early Belarusian or Ukrainian entry. Very hard to swallow, this one. He's got a nice voice, but nowadays people tend to go for boys with tiny little girlie voices instead of nice deep ones like this.
Nina Lassander: This is quite nice. Like something that could have won for Ireland in the 90s. But with so many songs in Finnish it would be disappointing to have an English winner. But she's quite pretty and I think this could do well.
Pentti Hietanen: This is trying to be classy but ends up in the same bucket as Questa notte. But if this should win in Finland, it will give Didrik Solli-Tangen a run for his money for sure. Not that we're talking a lot of money, though.
Antti Kleemola: Bah, this is exactly the type of rubbish that nailed Finland to the bottom in the 80s. Never the end, anyone? Well tonight will certainly be the end for this song.
Heli Kajo: She reminds me of Anna Puu and her C'est la vie. This one goes into the same territory as Maria Lund, but Heli has everything Maria lacks, most notably charm! She's cute and likeable and I won't be a bit surprised if she wins the whole shebang with this one. But is she a bit pitchy at times?
Sister Twister: I don't think we need another Sinead Mulvey, last year was bad enough. Who likes this kind of music?
Eläkeläiset: What a great name for a band! But having said that, I firmly believe the time for novelties in over and Villto seppää kylää mi should not be the next Finnish Eurovision entry. And I don't find synthesizer sex particularly funny.
Kuunkuiskaajat: Another group with a wonderful name! And this time I like the song too. It's folksy enough without being weird, like Moldova 2009 I think would appeal to lots of people in all sorts of countries. And the song is really catchy!
Linn Nygård: Of course it had to happen. A rock song from Finland. Unavoidable innit. Somehow this reminds me of Tone Norum and that's not really a compliment. But Finland has done reasonably well with rock songs in the past, so who knows?
So after watching all the songs my two definite favourites are Heli Kajo and Kuunkuiskaajat. If either of these two wins, I'll be voting for Finland for sure
Worst case scenario would be Kreisiradio, I mean Eläkeläiset.
In no particular order
Lynn (if she improves live)
Amadeus (if he improves live )
Kuunkuiskaajat - judging only by the running order (if it has any impact on Finnish televoting), it will be between and the Humpa "song"...i'd rather send the girls lol)
@ Joao loves Yohanna
This is a country that gave us Nightwish, Rasmus, HIM, Poets of the Fall, Sunrise Avenue and brilliant Finnish-speaking artists like PMMP, Apulanta, Maija Vilkkumaa, Happuradio and Irina.
The reason Finland bomb at Eurovison every year is summed up by when happened in 2000 when they could have gone for Nightwish but instead chose Nina Astrom instead and then last week poor Osmo Ikonen who I believe was popular among ESCToday readers was unceremoniously eliminated, in other words THEY CHOOSE THE WRONG SONGS!!
Heli Kajo is my ultimate favorite! I really hope she wins tonight!
ANASTACIA OR CIDER HILL !!!!!!!!!
No doubt for me that this awful Elakelaiset will win tonight!!! They are the most popular of all in Finland!
I can't get Heli's song out of my head!! I really hope she wins, she's great but I have a strange sick bug feeling in my stomach that.....oh better not to think about it!!....
well personally I'm going for Amadeus, Nina Lassander or Heli Kajo. I really hope one of these acts is going to win tonight, but i'm quite afraid of which song is going to be chosen by the Finnish viewers.
I don't wanna offend anyone but I think that I wouldn't get surprised if Elakelaiset would get the ticket to Oslo, because it's Finland after all. I think the music taste of the Finnish People is somewhat doubtful and that's why they picked Waldo's People instead of Passionworks (I know, I recognize their perfomances were pretty lame and their vocals left to much to be desired but they had the best song in the all contest and I guess Finland could have done so much better in Moscow if the viewers have chosen them).
so dear Finnish mates I'm begging you for a wise choice tonight. don't yield to temptation to vote the humppa guys.
Anyone can win, I have obviously my favourites, but don't pick Elakelaiset. Just take the right decision for once in your live
Sorre I sheet for brain can not spel porperly. Of course I mean the songs, not the shows.
My list
1. Heli
2. Maria
3. Antti
4. Amadeus
5. Nina
... those are the ones I love or like
6. Kuunkuiskaajat
... this one is ok for me, not more ...
7. Sister Twister
8. Linn (because she cannot sing at all)
9. Eläkeläiset
10. Pentti
... those are the ones I don't like at all
Good luck!
Is there a place I can go to watch/listen to the shows right now?
I can't get the webpage for international viewers to open. Is anyone else having problems?

15. January. There you can find directions written by Mari H.
Linn Nygård - Fatal moment. It is nothing new from Finland. Bored. The girl is not very good singer, she is only 17 years old.
the songs in this final are all very average...
heli kajo's one is slighty better than the other ones
Heli or NINA to win !!!
Could anyone be so kind to help me with the finnish registration-site? I'm helpless.
KampanjaKoodi = username
Sähköposti = mailadress
Salasana = pass
Turvakysymys = seems to be a question for the pass
Vastaus turvakysymykseen = the answer to the question above
Alias= (I know what an alias is, but what does it mean here)
Thanks!
I would prefer to see Kuunkuiskaajat or Amadeus winning, while I won't be against Hali Kajo representing Finland in Oslo, but as I wrote I prefer the first two...
The Best Must win!!
Heli Kajo - Annankadun kulmassa
Linn Nygård - Fatal moment
Ok
Sister Twister - Love at the first sight
Maria Lund - Sydän ymmärtää
average
Eläkeläiset - Hulluna humpasta
Amadeus Lundberg - Anastacia
The rest?
Either total crap or just Boring..
Finland send Heli to the Final she could do so well x x
or
If not Heli please god help Linn 2nite. Help her improve her vocal's
Linn Nygård's "Fatal moment" is my favourite
Please, not Eläkeläiset.
I'll cross my fingers for Kuunkuiskaajat. Finnish accordion FTW!
But I'll be satisfied with anything but Frodo Baggins.
Good luck to Heli Kajo, Kuunkuiskajat, Maria Lund and Amadeus Lundberg!
I love Elakelaiset, but I seriously don't want to see them representing Finland in ESC.
Marko
Linn is ok. instead of Eläkeläiset, but personally I don`t like it.
