I think Andreas Johnson song will be performed in a duet, this tittle really says that, I really doubt Carola will try again with him, but maybe... Sarah Dawn Finer, Pernilla or maybe... Lena Ph?

The Former TIMSRITNS
"And let's not forget he has also made another song for MF he can be proud of ..."
In my opinion "As if tomorrow will never come" is the best MF entry by Gson :D

Night Editor, yes, not all is lost on the schlager front. But we can always hope for quality....!

Lena, you say Sweden rocks? Well, if only they did!

Ah, some sour grapes about Sweden. Despite their cheesy tradition of banal schlagers, and overly done performances (ESC is about MUSIC!), I do follow their semis and finals with great interest, mostly because they put so much effort into it - they LOVE everything around ESC, and it's all to their credit! But no way their finals are more "imporant" or "better" than what lots of other countries come up with. Many good songs yes - but so is the case with all countries.

Despite the inclusion of rather tepid names as Kiempe and the likes, there is at least "only" one song involving G'son this year. And his two good (!) songs last years proved that even he can produce music with quality content. And let's not forget he has also made another song for MF he can be proud of - "What Difference Does It Make?", the brilliant punk poprock song, which was one of the best selling songs of the MF 02 procedure.

Some of the songs titles - if they are anything to go by, shows at least hints of originality and something "more" and maybe deeper - at least diverse musical. Is Sweden moving away from the schlager style? We can always hope, that they have found out we DO live in 2009, that schlagers that sound old-fashioned must sooner or later come to and end, and that ESC should be about "usual" pop and rock music - not some contrived made up stuff, done 50 times before....

Good luck Sweden!

No Ingela 'Pling' Forsmann? Has SVT gone mad! ;-) Still, at least we still have the ubiquitous Bobby Ljunngren and Thomas G'Son so all's not lost for 2010 on the schlager front.

"12 points to sweden for the most overused and boring titles ever presented in a national selection. I'm losing hope."

Very true .. "Hur kan jag tro på kärleken?" that title is SOOOOOO overused lol.

Honestly I dont know how people can judge songs just based upon the titles? If we just take the winner of this years winner (Fairytale incase anybodys been living under a rock!) it hardly sounds exciting, and the same for Is it true?, and especially Always :P

Lets wait until the songs guys :)

How did Barry get to be on jury? Hope the songs are decent

Never judge a book by its cover ;) the titles may seem boring and typical but the songs themselves might be great ;) :D

i agree that many titles sound typical and boring and many composers have been around already.. "manboy" ? maybe it will AGAIN as all Kempe's songs go last and win anyway..

@ Hr. Kraft: In the 2006 Norwegian selection, there was only one song in Norwegian, and it won! And don't forget that songs in Swedish won MF in both 2004 and 2006. However, I'm sure that if a song in Swedish wins MF, it will be performed in English in ESC.

Just about 1 of 3 entries is in swedish. Doesn't look good for us who want a song in swedish for Sweden in 2010.
