well said rock'nnn
She is great, wonder how she can stop the time, good luck
Dear ESCTODAY.COM
Why don't you make publication of the news about Turkey and Hadise in this web site? It's just not fair. Hadise has just released the "Fast life" music album but you didnt make the publication. And you are making the publications of the other countries albums. If here is a universal web site of the Eurovision, you should release the news from Turkey.
Don't be unfair and please release news from Hadise..
Anna Vissi is great! Whatever you say folks :-)
Can't wait for her 2nd INTERNATIONAL Album
GO ANNA
Watched it second time (way more analytical): I notice more than half a century of extremely appealing incarnated Greek culture now (since actually menopause is a Greek term). She manages to mesmerize my mind even more than Greek philosophy (due to not wearing a bristly beard, I suppose). No wonder that the continent evolved pretty well through the ages, since the cradle of Europe is still bethinking of aesthetics, sublimity and nice hips. - But still: superb music, right lady, wrong place, wrong lid.
I don't understand why people talk about age really.... I have seen Madonna (50) dancing the night away, singing is crap. I have seen Anna (50 plus) dancing and singing absolutely beautiful for over 2.5 hours (Madonna eat your heart out), I saw Tina Turner (70) dancing, singing and much more (The biggest star in the universe) and then I saw Britney (25 plus), singing is crap, she moves like a pregnant cow in labour... so I would say, Anna well done, you are a true star and if you were born in UK or USA you would be same level as Madonna....
Any ages are welcome in ESC, just look how Olsen brothers could win - that's a good sign. People are so shallow they can't handle real, normal, natural and older people in the media anymore. I only wish these "old ladies" could age proud and not waste money on surgeries.
Nice song and video BTW.
Anna vissy is not huge as Patricia but dont forget that France is bigger countrey than Greece and somebody can more easy to make international carrier espeacialy if start from France speaking languages countreys, if Anna was from France for sure will be more famous around the world than Patricia . But Anna was born in Cyprus and she start a carrier to greek language countrey ( Greece ) but again a lot of people know her especially in ex yugo countreys, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Armenia, Israel, Germany and UK. And personal i didnt know Patricia before ESC maybe beacuse i m not a fan of france language songs so much, and i thing a lot of people around europe dont know Patricia.
A cow-madame singing bouzoukia... GREAT COMBINATION!!
A cow-madame singing bouzoukia... GREAT COMBINATION!!
Watch the new Kate Ryan video clip Babacar!!! http://www.belgovisi(...)/index_f.php?id=5543
Anna Vissi is not huge as Patrica, for sure, but Anna manged to Top Billboard dance chart and to reach Top 10 of the same chart 2 more times. She i s also huge in bulgaria, serbia...she's not famous only in Greece, Cyp...
I've just watched this clip. And I'm pretty confused. It seems to me like a tragic case of ambivalence. I was very disappointed by Greece 2009 and had almost abandoned all hope to hear again such awesome entries like the one by Marianna Efstratiou from 1996 (btw the only song in Eurovision history with an additional rehearsal, for the orchestra in Oslo couldn't handle that 7/8 Kalamatiano pattern then) or Keti Garbi, Elina Konstantopoulou and some others who managed to deliver some magical and rememberable Greek moments in ESC annals. But now I am listening to an artist who even has a Eurovision chronicle of her own: I don't like "Auto Stop", I must say, and I admit that I almost hate "Everything", but I'm very fond of "Mono I Agapi" and its austere atmosphere, and I like most of her newish stuff. With "Alitissa psichi" Anna Vissi is even approaching my idea of European musical tradition and its contemporary realisation almost perfectly, producing a song that has some of the very archaic ingrediences the continent stands for. So I'm nothing but keen on this music.
But why can I not appreciate this performance? Because I have to notice a profoundly irritating breach of style! Imagine listening to this music. You might think of old Greek song, envision some coast of the Peloponnes, smelling Mediterranian breezes gently caressing your skin and resting in the shadow of an olive tree - or at least I do, who has brazenly never been in Greece; and probably these are some improper stereotypes (hopefully not), but one thing I know for sure: Greek topography does not look like a nightmare of sand and crag where you must reckon with being scalped by some native riot squad! And hitting a bumpy road is not the kind of image I would choose for enjoying Mediterranian music. In addition to this Miss Vissi is wearing a dusty Arizonean (?) lid as if she's waiting for the cavalry. (Fortunately she looks much sweeter and smoother than The Duke!) The fact that the music is so awesome makes this even more annoying. - And i ask myself: When projecting this incompatible mischief, what did the producers think they were doing?
SEXIER THAN EVER!!!!!!
She's SMASHIN' & SEXIER than !!!!!!!!!
GO ON ANNA... CAN'T WAIT 4 YOUR 2nd INTERNATIONAL ALBUM
U ROCK
I don't know Peggy Zina, but indeed a nice ballad, or just a nice song for a change, would be great for Greece.

Comparing Anna and Patricia is indeed difficult though there are parallels in terms of being the big female diva star of their native country for over 2 decades. But I agree on Patricia being way more famous around the world. That does not make her a better singer, but she did cross the border of the francophone world, whereas Anna is mostly known by Greek/Cypriots around the world.
Linba please do not compare Anna with Patricia, it's like diamonds and pearls.... Patricia is a huge star all over Europe , Anna is a huge star in Greece and Cyprus.... That's not all over Europe dear... But saying that (you know me always negative), I saw Anna Live last year in London and she was incredible, her singing fntastic and her energy spectacular.... that woman is like a living juke box, and she sing and sang and did not want to stop..... Respect
Patricia kaas and Anna Vissy are famous around Europe and both ladys take almost same places ( 8 th and 9 th ), so europe show us that dont care about famous artists but for shaking ass, naked girls, singers with weak voices , jumbing dancsingers and general striptiz and circus shows with uknown singers. So why one famous artist from now and on to reask his/her carieer and make ESC to be in high standars with one participation in ESC ?
Great song...I can't stop listening it!
Also, she looks really, really good...
I didn't like it that song...and the clip did not match the song. I do love though "stin pyra"...that's a great song!
"Whatever in 7th heaven" ....for your information Patricia Kaas
is only 42 I think ...much younger than Anna Vissi who is 51. In any case I was only saying how good she looks for her age not that she shouldn't sing. I think she's great!
Ohhhh i like this! i looove anna vissi! Its no Eisai but its pretty good! and who caeres about her age?? she is damn freakin hot for her age!!! GO anna!!!
Not the taste of Eurovision anymore.
the third is a iranian style pop song this year...Very disgusting!
How this 3rd the bollywood songs Was ?
I wonder!
This is definitely a monkey...
@ nikol how can you say age is just a number and then say madonna looks 60, arent you just doing what u criticised other people for doing
