Eurovision Day 5: Bulgaria, Iceland, FYR Macedonia
Song 11: Bulgaria
Krassimir Avramov sings Illusion for Bulgaria. We get dark skies and and white clouds and loads of flames on the screens. Krassimir is wearing his golden medieval style tunic and a belt and a red cape familiar from the preview video. The three female backing singers are dressed in colourful outfits. In addition two acrobats join them on stage on high stilts. Loads more emphasis seems to have been given to a one of backing singers sound mixing wise, while Krassimir does his high notes. The first run-through in the arena sounded good, but watching the other ones via the TV screens in the press centre gave a different sound result which might indicate mixing problems with this number. The performance is very visual and energetic.
Song 12: Iceland
Yohanna from Iceland is next in turn. She is dressed in a blue frilly frock and the whole stage is set up in icy blue visions with clouds, sea, ice, snowflakes and dolphins on the screens. She has a cellist and a guitarist on stage as well as three backing singers. Despite the icy looks, blue set and dry ice Yohanna’s voice conveys a lot of warmth in this performance and you can feel how the ice melts towards the end and we get some red patches on the screens. Is it true could be said to bring back memories of the Norwegian entry last year in the overall presentation.
Song 13: FYR Macedonia
And finally the last country to rehearse today is Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia. Band Next Time is lead by twin brothers with corkscrew locks and is one of the rockier numbers this year. The presentation is also traditional rock band setup with a drum kit, a percussionist, three guitar/base players and a lead singer. We get to see the lead singer lie down on the stage towards the end of the song. The screens explode into bright colours during the chorus after been metallic blue during the verses. This is a confident band performance from Next Time with perfect rock vocals, not to be dismissed.
That will also be all from today’s rehearsals in Moscow, more tomorrow from 11 local time (9 CET) when Romania will have their second rehearsal.

Iceland - she is a brilliant singer, but the blue dress needs binning - it is a cross between Xmas decorations and toilet roll cover.
Guys it is not a circus the outfit of BG , it is a show first and second think about it. This outfit for a show in moscow is Oh yeaaaaaaaaahh, perfect, but it wouldn't be that good for a show in Belgrade lets say.They are powerful and colorful, with a lot of energy and brightness coming. They are ILLUSION!
Im now concerned tht Jóhanna will suffer the same fate as Gisela last year.
Good song + bad outfit = no final

Bulgaria: ... oh.. Years ago, when I was younger, I thought the thing with Superman in the closet was that he changed his clothes in there. Now that he has litturaly come out of the closet - in all his glitzy queen pride - I realize that there was problably a allegory there I didn't catch as a kid. Well, that's fine, and it's especially nice that he has chosen to show his superpower-friendlyness not only to his colleague the supergipsy, but also to Ukraine by giving Svetlana the curtisy of having almost the exact same backdrop.
On this night of men in capes and post-crisis women in me(n)tal wheels, I would like us all to send some thoughts to poor glitzysuperman who seems to have got something caught in his zipper. Hopefully nobody will play dirty and leave kryptonite on stage. May the force be with you. 
Bulgaria was better than the 1st rehearsal..or I've gotten used to Krassimir's voice..lol
Iceland either the background or her dress has to change. Vocally she's good although I'm not impressed.
Fyrom gave a good performance but I don't like the song.
Iceland should be in the final...not sure about the other 2.
