The Moldovan band Zdob si Zdub who represented their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 performed yesterday in the Exit Festival which takes place right now in Serbia.

Zdob si Zdub performed in the Converse Fusion Stage located in the Novi Sad Fortress.

'Exit' is an annual festival taking place in Summer time. Since 2000, the number of the audience grows and gathers youngsters from all over Europe.

Jonny,
Yes, it does remind me of "Razborka" but Elin is a better singer. I haven't noticed the similarity before. Different composers though. I had to check :)

Yes they do have good taste! :) And I like the song from E-type&Poodles this year, it has really grown on me since I heard this years MF songs :) Just out of interest . . . this is really random . . . but does "money" from MF2007 remind you of "Razborka" and Silvia Night!? :) :D

Jonny:
Yes, they liked "Even if". They had good taste :)
I've just been watching E-type&Poodles (Line of fire) on TV. They appeared last in the sing-along show.

Oh yes I remember him now!! I watched the part of the Nordic preview shows this year to see how they rated the UK song, I was pleasantly surprised when the put it in joint second of the finalists! :D

Now I've watched the performances again :) Charlotte did look much healthier, she had a nice tan. Dancing Danny was the blond guy.
If you watched the Nordic preview shows 2008 you may have recognized the presenter. He was in the panel.

Yes I found it! I didn't know where to look, but I looked under "kulter & noje" because thats where MF is and luckily I found it!! :) I though Charlottes performance was good, although yes, she did sound a little off. She looks well, alot healthier than she looked in Belgrade :) Oh and thanks for the info about those 3 guys, I was wondering who they where!! :)
And Linda was great as always!!! lol :D :)

You found it! When I looked at SVT's site a couple of hours ago it wasn't there due to technical problems.
This week Leona Lewis's "Better in time" climbed from 37th to 12th place in the Swedish charts so I think she's still popular. Perhaps SVT invited her because Victoria likes her. I think she performed twice yesterday.
What did you think of "Hero"? I didn't think Charlotte sounded quite allright but I will watch it again.
Did you watch the 3 guys who performed together? One of them is Danny who's going to dance for Sweden in Glasgow. All of them participated in Swedish Idol.

I've just found the programme for Victoria that was on last night on SVT play. I found the performances from Linda, Leona Lewis and Charlotte Perrelli . . . one word . . . .WOW!!! :) (Is Leona Lewis really popular in Sweden, I know she had one international hit but is she sitll well known there?)

Yes, her live performance was quite bad. :S I think she may have qualified, but I suppose 15th-20th in the final, considering how strong this years final was :)

I think "We are one" might have done better. It's a catchy song which probably would have appealed to the televoters. She didn't sing very well live though. The studio version was much better.

Yes! I'm not quite sure about the teddy bear either! :)

I was wondering, do you think this song would have done better in Belgrade? It is "we are one" by Alexa. It came first with the televoters in the Moldovan NF, but the jury didn't rate it very well, so it was beaten by Geta.

The Studio version:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3rDUYnG4ZY (this is a great video) :)
The Live performance: http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=CTFNhOko3BI (the live performance let it down a little

Jonny,
Geta sounded and looked great in Belgrade but I didn't get the idea of the teddy bear and the settee. Yes, it's a relaxing song :)

Stockholm

Oh I thought her eurovision performance was quite alot better, it was more emotional :) I don't have anything against the song, I just can't seem to really like it :D I do still listen to it from time to time, because it is a very relaxing song! :)

Jonny:

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't find "A century of love" dull at all. It's got a nice jazz/bossa sound which reminds me of "The girl from Ipanema", a great song. I like the trumpet too :) Although, I think Geta should have kept her performance of their NF.

I don't know how you two can like "century of love" so much!! Its a nice, pleasant song but (in my opinion) it is dull and it sort of, gets lost! :)

As for Moldova I really liked "A century of love", the original jazzy version

Finally someone who liked that song..I thought I was the only one :D

Yes, I remember seeing one of the songwriters alot during the song presenting and the voting, that must have been Bobby! :)

Jonny,
I see, but you can watch all the semi-final entries on YouTube. There were many good songs last year :) Sanna's and Sonja's songs were composed by t h e Bobby Ljunggren who wrote 32 entries for MF (this year Empty Room, Hero, Visst finns mirakel, Lay your love on me). He also wrote Little by little for Lithuania in 2005.
The MF 2007 final opens with a very special version of Invincible and this year we could hear Maia singing The worrying kind so I think we can expect a very different version of Hero next year.
Btw, I checked with SVT last week if we could watch the 2005 MF (Katrina) but this is not possible.

Oh, this is very off-topic. As for Moldova I really liked "A century of love", the original jazzy version more than the remixed one on the CD :)

Unfortunately we could only watch the final, but it was still good. Overall my favourites from 2007 are:
The Worrying Kind (obviously!!)
Vagur du vagur jag - Sanna Nielsen
I remember love - Sarah Dawn Finer
Whats your name - Cosmo4
When the night comes falling - Sebastian Karlsson
For att du finns - Sonia Aljden
Cara Mia - Mans Zelmerlow
so many favourites . . . . . . . :)
