The funniest bit about Lys's appearance was when she thought she was in Bulgaria, not Belgrade . . . . . . bless!!!
"Congratulations" is one of my all-time esc favourites and it's a crying shame that it didn't win in 1968. "Power to all our friends" was a great entry too. Much as I like Anne-Marie David I think Cliff was the rightful winner in 1973
Stephen Conn:
It seemed to me that Lys Assia didn't hear properly what the presenters said to her. Maybe that's why her answers were a little peculiar.
Olsen Brothers rock !! And Cliff too.
Never mind the age !!
But was n't her appearence at the 2nd semi-final SO embarassing??!!
@ Larry: Together they're not as half as old as Lys Assia - but Lys is still looking better
Cliff was never one of my favourites , I couldn`t stand Congratulations but he must be really sickened to know that he really should have won back then (was it 69 or 70?) if the Germans had not voted for Spain to encourage them to accept their TV system. Of course he is a bible-thumping Christain nowadays...
My God, the combined age of these 3 must be terrifying!
