A century of love
Moldova: New version of Geta's song online
From a mild beginning the song escalates when more instruments are introduced midway. Greta's new version showcases her vocal abilities better than in the original version and has more drama and a more powerful arrangement.

Yeah, roughly it's the same chord rotated (inverted), but there's added notes (making it a nice seventh chord in the old version), and that bass note was vital. Sometimes it's details like that which can make or break.
They tried to poppify it - possibly lost a bit of "blues" in the process. But not a lot - it's still very nice.
They've changed the bass note of that chord to play the keynote instead, which makes it sound less interesting and more like a standard pop song. I preferred the old version too. It was more cleverly constructed, more jazzy. Now it's just another pop number. It's still okay, just not quite as good as before.
After listening to it with headphones I got it! Yes, you are right, it doesn't stick that much with the rest of the song.
Exactly, there we go.
In the new one of course. That's what's been changed and for worse. Now that spot sounds hollow. I'm tempted to write to the Moldovan TV and urge them to bring it back to how it was.
@ darko
in the old or new version?
The new version is stronger indeed, but much will depend on the performance. I think it could qualify - if only as a jury choice.
Here's some homework for Khalid: I've pinpointed the singlemost detail which bothers me a lot in this song - it's the fourth chord in the chorus progression, I always frown at that spot and only there.
Otherwise, it's truly nice. Good luck Moldova.
One of my favorites, together with Croatia.
Yeah, qaulity! Probably too sophisticated for the voting public. I don't think we will see and hear Geta's song in the final, but still hope for a pleasant surprise.
Good luck.
Such a lovely song, I like the new version as I liked the old one!
Good luck!
This version will probably stand a better chance than the original, but lets face it the odds are stacked against it, but I like it so there!
A touch of class - just lovely - good luck Moldova!
It has a hint of Astrud Gilberto in it. Beautiful song that deserves to do well. And her voice is great.
I love it my Nr3 after Israel and Switzerland
It's boring. This shouldn't pass to the final and if it does it will be down to the bloc voting,
Watch the video clip of "chiki chiki," subtitled in English and is also in Frenh!!! GETA I LOVE YOU. YOU'RE EXCELLENT.
Sorry, there are better entries even this year. this one is at the bottom of my personal favourites. this is a huge dissappointment to me, as I voted for moldova last ESC
I like this entry, it will do fine.
The previous version was more jazzy. Now they try to make it a pop song. Bad idea.
Though I still like it. My number 11.
It is very nice but in this newly arranged version they've dropped a couple of details which I particularly liked first time around. A well noted, valiant effort from Moldova nonetheless, it's just outside my top ten.
Very good effort from Moldova .. my only qualm is the English pronounciation. Otherwise, it makes me imagine I'm in a bar on a sandy beach, sipping a cocktail, with the sea breeze caressing my face. Woohooo ...
Oh, I still hate when she sings "remember" word...
I liked the first version, but the new arrangements have really added some kick to this song. I hope it will qualify in the semi.
It WAS and still IS my no.1 in ESC 2008.
This time it is more appropriate for ESC and the new arrangement poked right moments perfectly and put more dynamic in it.
Geta proved her vocal capabilities again.
Nice work indeed. Moldova has my vote!
Much stronger.
Good work
my goood more boring can not be, but good luck , go to need it
