Five videos on youtube

Polish finalists' video clips online

All participants in the Piosenka dla Europy 2008, the Polish final for the Eurovision Song Contest, had to submit finished videos of their entries to TVP by 28th January. Some of the videos are already available on youtube and you can watch them here.

As far the three wildcards that will join the ten known acts in the Polish final are concerned, nothing has been finalised yet. In a statement issued by TVP it was made clear that only Polish artists are considered as possible wildcards and that they should be announced no later than 8th February.

Below you can watch the five Polish videos available so far. The versions published by Margo and Afromental are longer than the duration set by the EBU, so we suppose that the version they will perform in the Polish final will be accordingly modified to the maximum of three minutes.

TVP have launched their new Eurovision website containing archive material from last year's Piosenka dla Europy and biographical information on this year's  participating artists in Polish. You can visit the TVP site here.

Isis Gee- For life

Plastic - Do something

Starnawski and Urban noiz- It's not a Game

Margo- Dlatego walcz

Afromental - Thing we've got

I don't like Isis Gee's song, it's really outdated and stuck in the 90s. I hope that the polish people will vote for something more modern, like Afromental or Starnawski.

ya Isis is undoubtedly a great singer, such a shame she ruined her face with all the plastic surgery and botox

Having read your comments and heard all ten songs and the wildcards this is my top 3 including wildcards
1) Margo without a doubt. I hate to say it but people that say it sounds over the top radio it means it sounds too legitimately commercial for eurovision... but two songs which were in the past were Magdi rusza last year and Haskeket shenish ar in 2005... which i still listen to on my mp3 player when i feel like not speaking english for a while. Eurovision winners like music not jokes and not stuff they wouldnt listen to if they had the choice I.e over the top over produced power ballads... which brings us to number two
2) Isis Gee. Its pleasant... its kind of nearly classy. My beef with it is that it sounds so produced that when i hear it its almost like two people are singing it as a duet. My problem is... other than the fact that it goes absolutely nowhere inspite of its power ballad impact (which is why its number 2 in case you are wondering) is that throw in a bag of nerves and live this could be more all over the place than a ship in a storm...and even if its perfect once it has to be perfect the other two times (assuming it goes through to the final). One bum note and its bye bye Isis enjoy the trip home...
3) Bella... this song is number three because it has to be chosen as a wild card first hurting its chances just a bit. It would have been number two incase you wonder. I like this song because its well produced and it sounds equally good translated into english so its got lots of mass appeal. While i hope that if margo qualifies she doesnt re write the song for bella I would recommend it in order to really reach the west.

@ Meir Tzur...

I dont see the comparison between the two :))

I see a difference and that is ISIS writes, composes, produces and performs her own songs!!

Karol from Poland:

Look, "Bella" got no chance to get a wild card. TVP had announced that wild cards will be given to the artists who didn't participated in preselection so far...
So, I'm very sorry but we will not gonna see "Bella" on stage in Warsaw at the "Piosenka dla Europy" ....

Greetings from Lodz, Poland.

I listen to the song of Maciek Starnawski & Urban Noiz round'n'round :-) I'm in shock, the video doesn't look like polish trash, it's on high quality I have to say... The song is really good, in my taste. Everything is cool in general but... That's it, there's some "but" :-) It is not a eurovision song at all. I don't know if it's a plus or minus of that situation. Maybe something fresh and new have a chance to do well on stage in Belgrade?
We'll see, that's the sweetest thing of ESC. Any pro-neighbours or diasporas voting can't be the guarant of the success :-)

power, glory, and song.

fatix U R great :) Funny translation :) anyway it should be like that:

Dlatego walcz
o to uczucie ktore masz
bezcenny skarb
nadaje zyciu smak

Dlatego walcz
obudz namietnosc jeszcze raz
teraz...
poki zyje w nas

translation into english will be:

That's why (U should) fight
for the feeling which U've got
priceless treasure
which gives to life a taste

That's why fight (U should) fight
wake up tha passion once again
now...
until it's (living) inside us

My favourite song is Sandra Oxenryd "super heroes"

I have to say that i'm listening whole the time to the song of Margo with her 'Dlatego walcz'. It's growing in me.. and by the way it is a clean-song.. and actually it is a decent song whereby I'm singing along with the chrous whole the time.

Polish is not so difficult :P

nice, very nice...

Chorus like the way i'm hearing it
(without any knowledge about the Polish language) - fonetically:

- Dlatego walcz
- o da u tjujik tude mash
- besemme kaj
- ma daje zjecuk nas

- Dlatego walcz
- o buc na men cju czejs szejas
- te jas
- bu ke jie ne jas

about about .. hehe :P
translation please .. love it, love it, love it ;)

fatixxx

Isis is by far the best!! I think she is hot favourite to win, even without the wildcards being announced

And everybody she can sing live so i have no doubt she will win

In fact i think she can win the whole Eurovision

the best two are "For life" and " It's not a game" bestest of these two " For life"... the other are not bad but those are the 2 songs which i will remember :D

@ Yeah Right!
hehehehe... I like to argue with you. Ooh... you know what my Swedish friend. Lets call it even, cause no one will get convinced. I wish you good luck with choosing your contestant.

Best wishes for Sweden

hmm... thinking about it the Isis Gee reminds me of the latest Swedish Idol winner Marie Picasso.

@ Lukas z

Well... ESC is not about who has more class, and I think we all know that. It's about who has the best/catchiest song and the best performance.

*btw* Isis Gee looks just as cheap as Kasia Nova... but the style of their songs are different so the sexy style wouldn't fit that much in the Isis Gee video. Still Isis Gee look like a barbie bimbo too. But this is not important... both are good looking girls... but I would just point out that Isis Gee doesn't come around more classy in my book.

And Isis Gee's song IS as manufactured pop song as Kasia Nova. It's so funny how everyone is talking about the Isis Gee song like it would be some kind of mature masterpiece of music... it is not! It's an ok but bland ballad... nothing new and it fits the mass pop industry formula just as the Kasia Nova song does.

Lukas z [38624]
Thu 31 Jan 2008 15:40:49

Isis Gee is better because she has style, shes not cheap, and she has a voice in opposite to Kasia Nova, who is a child of the mass pop industry with no voice.

Isis you have my vote!

Yeah Right! [19584]
Thu 31 Jan 2008 15:18:58

@ marcin paluszkiewicz

Well that's what the free world is about... having different opinions ;-)

I totally disagree with on Afromental and Urban Noiz... and I do believe Kasia Nova is a waaaaay better choice than Isis Gee.

But greetings back anyway hehe ! ;-)

Marcin Paluszkiewicz [37269]
Thu 31 Jan 2008 15:13:11

Oh come on, Isis is simply better than the others. She's got my vote on "Piosenka dla Europy" :-)
Although I do think that Maciek Starnawski & Urban Noiz are very interesting, I love that kind of music. Afromental is one of my favorite r'n'b band in Poland so I am not surprised of their high quality song.

Mr. Yeah Right! I am 100% oposite to your opinion, greetings although :-)
