Making their return to the Eurovision Song Contest following a 3-year break is Bosnia & Herzegovina, represented by Dalal Midhat-Talakić and Deen featuring Ana Rucner and Jasmin Fazlić Jala who were each internally selected by the Bosnian national broadcaster, BHRT.

About Dalal

Dalal Midhat-Talakić, born on the 5 August 1981, is a Bosnian singer born and raised in the city of Sarajevo.

Dalal started her career as a member of the Bosnian duo Erato in 1999 alongside fellow member, Aida Terzić. The duo has released a total of 2 albums together during their formation, Backstage (2003) and Make up (2005), with their most recent hit being in 2008 with the song Putujemo snovima.

About Deen

Better known under his stage name Deen, Bosnian singer Fuad Backović was born on the 12 April 1982 in Sarajevo.

Deen first shot to fame in 1997 after becoming the lead singer of newly-formed Bosnian boyband, Seven Up, and went on to release 2 albums with the band; Otvori oči and Seven.

In 2004, Deen was selected to represent Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Istanbul with his entry In the disco, finishing in 9th place at the grand final.

More recently, Deen graduated from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, where he also currently resides.

About Ana Rucner

Ana Rucner is a Croatian cellist, born on the 12 February 1983 in Zagreb.

Born into a musical family, Rucner began her musical education at the age of 7 and was accepted into the Academy of Music of the University of Zagreb 10 years later. The cellist has since won numerous awards around the world and has toured the globe over several decades, visiting countries including China, the United States, Brazil, India, Australia and much of Europe.

About Jala

Jasmin Fazlić Jala, better known under his stage name Jala, is a Bosnian rapper born on the 16 October 1986 in Sarajevo.

Jala is the founding member of Bosnian group BluntBylon and went on to found the Red Eye Vision music studio in Vogošća. Jala has released a total of 5 albums over his career, working with the likes of Buba Corelli and Shtela.

About the song Ljubav je

The Bosnian national broadcaster, BHRT, confirmed that the quartet chosen to represent the nation would perform the internally selected song entry, Ljubav je.

Written and produced by Almir Ajanović alongside Jala, Ljubav je was produced by the Tempo Production Studio, headed by Ajanović, who has also finance the 2016 Bosnian participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. The entry was recorded in both Bosnian and English, however it was later mutually decided by BHRT and the Tempo Production Studio that the entry would officially be performed in the Bosnian language on the Eurovision stage.

Ljubav je made its premiere on the 19 February during a special televised show entitled BH Eurosong Show 2016. The presentation show took place at the Sarajevo City Hall, which is also where the music video of Ljubav je was filmed.
