No less than 3 French Eurovision entrants are currently topping the French music charts! Amaury Vassili (2011), Anggun (2012) and Amandine Bourgeois (2013) entered the top album charts directly at #1 thanks to the album Génération Goldman Volume 2

Following the huge success of the album Génération Goldman this year, over 725,000 copies sold, the release of an album Génération Goldman Volume 2 was inevitable and promised to success with circa 60,000 copies sold after one week. Both albums are made of covers of songs by Jean-Jacques Goldman, one of France’s most popular songwriters, and performed by a collective of young and successful singers.

Most of the artists who took part in the first album are present on the second. They include 2 former French Eurovision entrants: Amaury Vassili, the young tenor who entered the contest in Düsseldorf in 2011 and Amandine Bourgeois this year’s French representative in Malmö ; and also a newcomer, the 2012 French entrant of Indonesian origin Anggun.

The album contains 15 tracks including 2 collective songs. Amandine Bourgeois recorded the song Un, deux, trois with singer Merwan Rim and Mani Hoffman, while Amaury Vassili and Anggun sing together with Damien Sargue the track Né en 17 à Leidenstadt. It is also worth noting the participation of Corneille who penned the 2006 French entry for Virginie Pouchain.
