Turkey wins online poll of Eurodance 2007

Over 44.000 votes were cast by the readers of Eurodanceweb in this year's edition of Eurodance, an online competition created with the aim of promoting dance productions in local languages,or with strong links to their national culture. Ziynet Sali with Zordur Oglum was the readers' favourite but the final winner will be decided by an international jury and will be announced on 29th December.

Ziynet Sali, representing Turkey with Zordur Oglum, won the Readers' online poll of Eurodance 2007. The song is included in Ziynet's third album Mor Yýllar, released last year in Turkey, which features songs in Turkish and Greek. In the past four months the Eurodance competition received wide coverage on Turkish media, with articles published on leading newspapers such as Hurryiet, giving Ziynet a good promotion which helped her to reach the top of the Poll.

Slovenia placed second with the Dee Jay Time by D.Z. Shark And M Dee J Remix Vrni se by Spelca, a member of the pop band Atomik Harmonik. This act is known not only in its homeland, but also internationally, for hits such as Turbopolka and Polkaholic, which entered EMA 2006, the Slovene selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bulgaria placed thrird with Anelia and Samo Za Mig. Anelia is one of the rising stars of chalga, a typical Bulgarian music genre inspired by the Serbian turbo folk that mixes typical folk elements with more modern and dance tunes.

The final winner of the Eurodance 2007 competition will be decided by a professional jury. Disc jockeys, producers, journalists and
radio speakers from all over the world have already started to send their votes that will be counted in the next weeks. The official final result of Eurodance 2007 will be published on December, 29th.
