Mørland & Debrah Scarlett

A monster like me

Mørland, full name Kjetil Mørland, is a singer-songwriter originally from Grimstad, but has spent most of his adult life in Brighton, the United Kingdom.

Mørland first joined the British band Absent Elk in 2008 as the lead vocalist. Soon after Absent Elk formed, the band went on to support bands around the country, some of which include The Hoosiers, The Script and Girls Aloud. Absent Elk’s debut album, Caught in the headlights, was released in October 2009.

More recently, Mørland moved to the Norwegian capital of Oslo in order to pursue his solo career. Performing alongside fellow members Andreas Haga, Steinar Mossige and Nicolai Herwell, Mørland has been working on his debut album which is set to be released in 2015.

Debrah Scarlett is a singer-songwriter based in both Norway and Switzerland.

Debrah has been performing at gigs all over Switzerland and Norway for the past number of years. Having released a number of songs via her SoundCloud page, Debrah released her first EP last year featuring her songs Some say, There was a limit and Dream.

Together, Mørland & Debrah Scarlett will collaborate in their MGP 2015 entry, A monster like me.
