CT, Ceska Televize, the Czech national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that the 2015 Czech Eurovision entry will be premiered on 10 March.

The Czech Republic returns to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 after a 5 year’s absence from the event. CT, the Czech national broadcaster has opted for an internal selection in order to select its 2015 Eurovision act and entry. Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta were internally selected to fly the Czech flag in Vienna with their entry Hope never dies.

The Czech Republic has been absent from the event since 2010. The landlocked central European country debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with Kabat’s Mala Dama and has competed in the event 3 times. 2009 marked the last participation of the Czech Republic with Gypsy.cz with Aven Romale. The country has never qualified for the Eurovision Song Contest final. Hence due to low viewing rates and poor results the broadcaster had decided to withdraw from the contest in 2010 and was absent from the event for 5 years.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 19, 21, 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna,Austria.
