Liis Lemsalu was born 20 October 1992 in Tallinn, Estonia, and is the daughter of former Estonian professional football player Marek Lemsalu. She became known to the Estonian public after winning the fourth season of the Estonian version of Idols, Eesti Otsib Superstaari, in 2011. After the show, Liis Lemsalu released the single Kõnnime Seda Teed, together with the shows runner-up, Artjom Savitski.

Liis Lemsalu partook in Eesti Laul two times before: in 2012 with the song Made up my mind, and in 2013 with the song Uhhuu.

For Eesti Laul 2015, Liis has teamed up with artist Egert Milder. Egert is the lead vocalist and guitarist of the alternative rock-band Slippery Slope from Tallinn. The band rose to fame after winning the 2012 edition of Noortebänd, the biggest band contest in Estonia. The other members of the band are Madis Lett (vocals, bass guitar) and Henri Kuusk (percussion, drums). The trio of friends have released a debut album, Do you feel the same.

Liis Lemsalu & Egert Milder will participate in Eesti Laul 2015 with the song Hold on, composed by Liis Lemsalu, Egert Milder, Madis Lett, Henri Kuusk and Rob Montes.
